I have a linksys wireless-g usb adaptor and it does not receive anything from the router. It gets a signal and sends packets but does not recieve any. because of this, i can not get onto the internet. Before this though, i had Zonealarm firewall, the free one, and i decided to get mcafee. I finaly ended up deleting zonealarm, look at my other post in... http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,17637197

That post tells you more about before this problem started. Anyways, I now have mcafee installed and a litte while back i put the security on my wireless, but now i try to access it and it wont connect, because it is blocking me and has a password or something, which i believe i have. How would i connect to the access point if it is protected?

Yeah, sorry if you dont understand it, kind of in a hurry... Main problem.... can not get internet because adaptor is not receiving.

Also, how do i make a new network for my router, maybe it will work if i make a new one....

Once again, sorry for this long post but some more info.......
I can hook this pc directly to the cable modem and i do get internet. Also, i can get the internet if i connect to my nieghbors router, just i cant connect with my router. As i said before, i do get a signal, but no packets recieved.

Thank you for all your help.
