Cable or DSL? |
|
|
I am confused between cable and DSL isp
Which one is better? Which is faster Cable or DSL? Please tell me any one so
I can choose between SBC Ameritech, or Comcast. I want it for particular in a rural area. Comcast can't tell me the baud rate, etc...SBC keeps me on hold, but I need faster connectivity. any advise? |

I’m using Bellsouth’s Internet Service with D-link di-704 router & I facing the problem that I can go various websites on the Internet, but while I am trying to login in any website- I cannot connect to. It occurs even with the BellSouth’s web page. When I remove my D-link Router, all the websites are working fine, even I login to the website also. I have the latest firmware drivers for my router.
I don’t know why it is not displayed? What is wrong with my router?

Windows 2000, AMD Athlon XP 1700 MHz CPU, Westell Wire speed DSL modem.
Thanks. |

Please do not think so. You understand the your modem cannot work like the Router.
So, please refer the following guides for that.
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/7125
read1st, tcpip analyzer, static ip guide that have the guides related to this .
I hope it solves your queries that are in your mind.

michel why you are confusing us,
you have given good sides for both DSL and Cable, see be clear you have to go on one side
i think cable is good, because cable is so faster
and main advantage is whenever you get an error you will easily fix it, and the main thing is its cheap then DSL |

| Cable is so much simpler, faster, cheap , DSL is also best compare to Dialup but doesn’t compare to Cable, it costs too much |

| Yes Im bias but I think cable is much better as long as all your wiring is good to your home. Those of us that are good installers double check for ingress on the drops and backfeeding CATV's before we leave the install. As long as that done it works great. |
