Hi All,
This has been out in the news for a while, with the release of the http://www.StarCraft2.com site, but do you think that Blizzard can live up to the expectations that everyone has for StarCraft2 with StarCraft already being such a popular game? What can Blizzard add to Real Time Strategy style games that have not already been implemented in other games to make it unique?
I personally think that if anyone can live up to such an expectation, Blizzard is definitely the best candidate for the task. From what I recall, I am sure others have their opposing statements, Blizzard has always been able to release a sequel to popular titles with amazing results.
When we all saw that what is next on the Blizzard site, I could not help but know it was StarCraft2, as this would be the best time to release such an amazing and much anticipated title. Still, when the announcement was made, I couldn't help but cheer and jump for joy as StarCraft has been my all time favorite game. I cannot really explain the feeling that I had, but I am sure many avid gamers of StarCraft experienced the same feeling that I had. And though I play StarCraft only a few times a year now with old childhood friends, I still have to say, StarCraft is still number one and I am holding a huge expectation for Blizzard to make StarCraft2
Since I went on vacation, I haven't been keeping up with all the new things that Blizzard was releasing, but from what I recall: We already know that there will not be an implementation of another race as Blizzard stated that they were going to keep it to three races. One thing that caught my attention was that Blizzard was hoping to keep the game play length down, allowing players more games for their time than just sitting around having at it for and hour or longer.
