belkin router problems
ok so i went and signed up for cable internet accsess and loved it, very fast, very reliable. i was able to watch youtube videos an streaming radio content, then the lady in our house wanted internet accsess on her computer so she bought a belkin router with wireless capability, i installed it with the manufactures instructions and ever since then i have not been able to play media from the web, its starts off great then says its bufferning and just freezes, radio keeps stopping and restarting , i cant watch youtube anymore as it lets me watch like 10s then starts buffering an never finnish's. have i got some setting wrong , can anyone help me please !!!!!!!!
Have u tried calling Belkin technical support...u could just look up on google to get the telephone number...there is a MTU setting on ur rtr which could possibly mater, i am not sure wether ur isp recomends a particular MTU size or if ur Belkin rtr will allow u to reset the MTU settings...The best thing would be to contact ur ISP and take note of the necessary settings like Encapsulation Method,Multiplexing Method,MTU size and then call Belkin....That should hopefuly resolve the issue.
belkin have a web page that interacts with the router so i used that to reset it and it seems to be working fine after the second reset so hopefully thats solved it
