Debian Etch doesn't 'see' swap during install |
|
|
I've installed Debian Etch quite a number of times. Yesterday, I got this message during installation:
The swap file or partition that was found in uswsusp's configuration file is not active. In most cases this means userspace software suspend will not work for you and you will need to choose (or let uswsusp choose) another swap space. In some corner cases however, this can be what you want. Continue without a valid swap space?
I stopped the installation and started anew, but the message returned time and again. It doesn't matter what partitioning I choose, I'm stuck with the message.
Continue without a valid swap space? The choices are 'yes' and 'no'. Whatever you choose, the installation always goes ahead and the OS seems to function properly.
Does anybody know what this all means? Is it a bug?
