EIDE cable |
|
|
Hello Prince,
Don't worry
Here it's your solution...
An IDE cable has a maximum limitation of only 2 devices on it.
It should have 3 plugs,
1) Main Board
2&3) Device (CD, DVD, Hard Drive, ect)

Modifying an IDE cable |
|
|
Hi Prince,
IDE cable will work fine in two-drive configurations, but there is a drawback:
It's suboptimal for one-drive installations. These high-speed disk cables really should always have a drive on the physical far end of the cable to reduce noise on the bus, but this cable puts the single drive in the middle.
In practice this will probably work most of the time, but it's not the best way to run a computer system.
Thanks |
