HI

Using WIN-XP2 with AOL 9.0 on a dial-up and computer stays on all day. Sometimes within the same day after leaving AOL and the ERROR Firewall comes up 2400-29-007 from AOL.
I then have to turn off the computer and reboot to be able to get back online with AOL.
My WINDOWS FIREWALL is set to OFF and also my internal McAffe Virus FIREWALL is set to OFF when the computer boots, because AOL has it's own MCAfee Firewall program running now. Just don't understand why I have to reboot do be able to get into AOL again. Help if you can.

Thanks
Jimmy

Hi

I have searched every note I have ever made about Firewalls with AOL and I am just not seeing something exactly like the problem you are having:
I have however foud this following information..

I would however like to continue to look for a better and more complete answer for you, but when I let to much time elapse from when you first sent in the Question until I answer it, I get a nasty reminder email from "All experts" reminding me I have a question pending, for right now this is all I have for you. I hope you will allow me additional time to lok for more information to correct this problem for you.

Thanks

Tod

SYMPTOMS OF FIREWALL PROBLEMS
