Cable Modem Errors
Currently I am using Cable, till two days before modem was working properly, I don’t know from two days, I am facing Cable modem errors and not able to access internet
if i m using it continuously then it works good, but if i dont use it for more than 9 days then it stops working, modem stays like same until i reboot my computer or i do a power cycle of the modem
do any one having idea regarding this or same problem like me ?
Your modem stops working means its not transferring data, and because of this all lights go out, so first reboot pc, if still problem is there then its tcp/ip problem, but i dont think so that modem goes wrong because cable modem is a simple equipment compare to PC, so may be problem is with your PC

I buy a latest modem, when I connect with it give me MAC address error & disconnected me from the Internet.
I don’t understand that is my modem is wrong or I’m doing wrong connection.
MAC Address error is the error that occurred while your ISP is not up-to-date with latest technologies. You have latest technology modem & your ISP server not added recent configuration of your modem on server. So server doesn’t recognize your modem & disconnected you.
Please use winipconfig to release or renew your IP Address. Delete your settings under the control panel & uninstall the NIC Card Driver. Then Remove DHCP Server key from Windows registry. Then try to connect with your modem.
I think it must be solved your ISP connection Problem.
I use ATT@home Internet connection on my Windows XP home PC. Since last 5 days I frequently disconnects. My modem is working properly. The Support people on my ISP tell me that you lose your connection. But I used same modem on another machine it works fine.
I don’t understand what is the problem with my computer?

On my other computer, I Can’t renew my IP address. On that computer, I did not see any DHCP Converter or server on that. Tell me from where I took it back either by reinstalling the Ethernet Driver or any??
I installed my cable modem on my Computer and I enjoyed it very much. How ever ISP connection speed varies rapidly. Some time it runs fast & sometime slow. Give me any idea that constantly increasing or steady speed of my Internet connection.
I having some problem regarding to my new 3COM Office Connect Cable modem. It runs more than 70 % time at 2-3 MBPS and suddenly it gone to only 45KB/sec. When I set my old modem in place of that it always gets 2.8 MBPS speed whole day.
What is the problem with my new modem? Give suggestions for that….

Cable modem problems
Let, I give you a advice that when I switched over a NIC Card. The PC locking up problem is settled, but my modem periodically reboots itself. When it I unplugged it & then re-plugged it my download speed dropped from 1000 to 200 bps. I don’t have power fluctuation problem.
Please suggest me what to do.
