Slow DSL Connection |
|
|
Hello,
I am using DSL and since last two week I get only 20 kbps.
I have contacted my ISP number of times but they never try to resolve the problem. They always suggest to do changes in my computer and that never resolve the issue.
I am using ADSL modem they gave, isp tested DSL line many times and they found no problem.
I replaced my nic card, reformatted system and install windows XP as isp says most of their user has windows xp and they never face any problem.
But still dsl is extremely slow!!
Any suggestion? Should I change my isp?
I am totally lost and need help. |

| hi -- i dont know if this can be of much help -- but you should really consider changing ISP providers -- try ATT -- your connected a lower rate then dial up would give you! even that is 56k!! -- |

Hi,
Interlopers: Viruses, spyware or other malware slow down your DSL connection. Use your computer's security software or a free program like AVG to detect and remove suspicious programs (see "Resources").
Hitchhikers: Sharing a DSL connection amongst computers, knowingly or not, causes things to slow down. Encrypt your network to avoid unauthorized piggybackers.
