I was looking to fix this error everywhere.
and the answer is simple: you accidently deleted driver for bluetooth for your system and you must go to web site for your computer to reload that driver.

unashamed wrote:

The problem is, routers will only allow 1 connection per port when using a feature like remote desktop.
What I do for my office is setup a port map.
I start at port 9000 ( can be any port in your case)
port 9000 outside maps to 3389 for pc1.
port 9001 outside maps to 3389 for pc2.
port 9002 outside maps to 3389 for pc3.
and so on and so forth.
works fine for me.

Agreed. You would not be able to forward port 3389 to multiple computers in the network, which is why only the first listed port forwarding was working.

You can also change the Remote Desktop listening port to coincide with the outside forwarded port, so that
port 9000 outside maps to 9000 for pc1
port 9001 outside maps to 9001 for pc2

... if you are particular about such things.

So, my question:

I am having difficulty with connections via Remote Desktop on certain client machines. Connections inside the office appear to work correctly and consistently. It appears that connections work from some outside client machines as well (though I have not been able to do testing over time to determine consistency).

Anyway, it appears that the problem is with the client machines (two in particular are troubling me). One of them is my own personal computer at home. I was previously using a Win2000 machine (as the client) and had no problems with that. I upgraded to a new/used WinXP machine and can no longer make the connection (the old machine has gone to the recycling center, so I cannot plug it in for testing).

I have Windows firewall disabled with ZoneAlarm installed (as with the old system). I have not added or changed any other hardware.

Any ideas for diagnostics on this?

I tried the steps you listed (regedit) and itwent back to 2 after I restarted the computer. Any other ideas? please help.

justin wrote:

This likely is a BIOS setting, and can be changed in the BIOS setup utility accessible at startup.

If not:

* Run the Registry Editor (REGEDIT.EXE).
* Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard (If the Keyboard key isn't there, add it.)
* Double-click the InitialKeyboardIndicators value on the right. (If it's not there, select New from the Edit menu, then String Value, and type InitialKeyboardIndicators for the name of the new value.)
* Change the value to any of the following:
0 - all indicators off
1 - Caps Lock on
2 - Num Lock on
4 - Scroll Lock on
Or, combine them by adding the corresponding values:
3 - Caps Lock and Num Lock on
5 - Caps Lock and Scroll Lock on
6 - Num Lock and Scroll Lock on
7 - Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock on
* Close the Registry Editor when you're done.

All the change should take effect when next time you start Windows.

I just downloaded a new antivirus program - AVIRA - a couple of days ago, because the new 8.5 version of AVG (which I've had for well over a year and was very happy with) now has problems that they are aware of and are fixing, but I didn't need the nightmares I have been having with IE7. So, I uninstalled AVG and put in AVIRA, which I really do love, and it found problems that AVG never found!! And, IE7 is working with no more problems!!

BUT, now when I start up the computer every time, here is the error message I get:

RUNDLL
Error loading C:\PROGRA~\MYWEBS~\1\bar\1.bin\MP3PLUGIN.DLL

The specified module could not be found

Is this because AVIRA did locate some problem and fixed them? Or what?

All I have to do is click OK, and it goes away, but can I get rid of this prompt message?

Do I still have problems here?

Thank you for your help!

I have done the nessesary steps in erasing the error reports, but still no luck. This is what I did

Remove the following registry item with RegEdit:
Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder
Open the Software
folder
Open the Microsoft folder
Open the Windows folder
Open the Currentversion folder
Click on the Run folder
Click on the WildTangent CDA file (RUNDLL32.exe)
Delete the file by pressing Delete on your keyboard.

Any Ideas???????????
