Well, when I had AOL service I could not connect on a consistent basis. Sometimes I couldn't connect to AOL for hrs. at a time. I live in Houston so I know there shouldn't of been problems with access numbers or anything. When I would try the AOL tech support line I would be put on hold for so long I just hung up due to frustration. And when I did get through the AOL techs would blame the problem on my computer or that it was on my end. My father is a computer engineer/software developer and is extremely computer literate with a master's in computer science. The AOL techs were quick to point the finger without even evaluating the situation first. I now have a cable connection and it has never failed me yet. I know people have had success with AOL but I just didn't.

I have yet to hear news of netscapes service because they just recently began providing internet service. I use to have AOL but there are so many barriers you have to overcome in order to get quality customer service. They are such a big company that they can afford to lose customers and still profit from their operations. I feel they do not feel as obliged to satisfying customers as would netscape since netscape is smaller. But AOL's connectivity is ok but it wasn't always consistent for me. I do like the ease of using AOL though and everything is organized on their browser. Can anyone comment on netscape's performance?
