Beware when cancelling Juno dialup service. I called and got a person with a heavy accent who spoke in a low volume. I told her I wanted to cancel service, and she agreed, but said I would get one last month free. A week later I found out that I had been signed up for upgraded service and Norton AntiVirus on the day I "cancelled".

When you call to cancel, ask for a CANCELLATION NUMBER or an email saying that your service has been CANCELLED and that there will be NO MORE BILLING. They will try to switch you to some kind of "free" service, but insist on NO SERVICE AT ALL. After a day or so, if you can still log on to your Juno account, click on My_Account, Contact_Billing_Support, My_Account_Summary. There you will see what kind of service you have. It should say something about cancellation.

There was no way to cancel online, so I called their cancellation line at 1-888-811-5866. Have your member ID and the last 4 digits of your credit card handy.

Juno is old and out of fashion. I have heard too many problems about juno. They don't cancel the services and never answer the phone at all.

You dont need to cancel juno account now, because you have cancellation id. They will not charge you more for service you never used. So, dont think of it.

I spent one hour on phone to cancel my Juno account several weeks ago.
It required two phone calls. The first call the 'no service rep' refused to give me a cancellation # until 'I answered all the questions.' She then told me to wait and she would cancel my account after I gave her all info. she requested. Twenty minutes later she didn't get back on phone. Called next day and got better rep. He told me rep. #1 didn't want to get 'charged back' for my cancellation. He was going to tell his supervisor. He gave me cancellation #. For two days I checked my Juno account. It was not cancelled. It is several weeks now and I sent an e-mail to my account from my new Yahoo account and it didn't bounce. I have warned my credit card company that Juno will try to continue to bill.
ANY WORDS OF ADVICE?
