Are there any cheaper solutions available or not?

There are several available in the market but D-Link DI-824VUP router gets very expensive around $150.

With my Toshiba Notebook, it has 802.11g capable wireless card in it I want to get a connectivity between wireless router of my Toshiba & D-Link DI 713P wireless router of my network on my modem port for not to using the modem.

Same as you both my & network works on D-Link DI 713 P wireless router connected with my modem with DB9 Connector. While using from home, router attached wit h DSL port. but it works along with a modem when traveling. It is just used for flexibility.

I just discovered it on the Internet that it is used for wireless routers for backing up facility.

Hi Jason,
Our Office network is also same as for your office as described by you in that post. I think its for backing up purpose only.

I also think that it necessary then upgradation to Cable/DSL will be best. Can anybody explain me the topology of how this could be done?

Again, If it is with your main connection then to getting same bandwidth on all other network machines, your download speed going to be slowly.

I am a computer engineer & my office Internet connection runs on dialup modem. I don�t understand that why the dialup modem is needed. I think that it is for dial in service or for extreme backup redundancy?

Hi,

There is no system requirement for wireless broadband, just need is your computer must have Ethernet port should work with Wireless internet.

WAP stand for �Wireless Application Protocol� that formats transimission of web data over wirelss internet connections, and also you access information on the internet with a wireless devices such as wireless phone, etc.
