Most Broandband ISP provider offer cheap USB modem. This modem is not reliable as compared to an Ethernet modem. Most users recommend buying own modem. Buying of your own modem allows you to sign up with any other provider and use any computer with any operating system you like.

Which is the modem type they provide with the service? This modem reliable or not?

Number of ISP�s offer free modem if you sign up for 12months or more. Bulldog, UK offers.com and more provide free modem with Broadband Service. Bulldog also give option to choose one month free access or free modem.
