                                      This is a portion of Microsoft Windows Operating System, which is needed to execute .HTA files. This program is a non-essential system process. Mshta.exe is not required for Windows to work correctly. If you find that it is causing problems from your system, you should terminate it.</description>

I too am experiencing difficulties with this mshta.exe unknown scriptingthing...so far I'm still running sfc /scannow &amp;amp; see what happens since sfc /scannow does fix up your sys files a bit...I'll see if it works &lt;img src=&quot;images/smiles/icon_confused.gif&quot; alt=&quot;Confused&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; /&gt;</description>

I am running windows 2000 Professional on my office computer. Today when i opened Add/Remove program from Control Panel i got following error msg. &lt;br /&gt;

                                      I am also using Mcafee and i think that mcafee detecting all the script to change users. Simply ignore it. The following &lt;br /&gt;

                                      mshta.exe is associated with Microsoft Windows. mshta.exe is considered to be safe and not recommended to turn off this process. May be some spyware or maleware affect this system process but in most cases mshta.exe is not virus but is Microsoft system process that run on your computer.</description>
