Having had problems not beeing able to turn off and log off properly I found a very easy way to remove the PQV2iSvc.exe process so it will not return after restart. (WIN XP SP2)

1. Go to start > run and write "Services.msc" (without the ""-marks)

2. Scroll down in the window that opens to find the post "Norton Ghost" and doubleclick on it.

3. Press the "Stop" button ..

4. .. and finally change the service to start Manually in the options box where it (probably) says "Automaticly"

Thats it. Maybe it's wise to make a note of what you did somewhere in case you get problems and would like to restore the setting.

The only way it affects the running of Ghost is a small delay as Ghost does start the process but has to wait some seconds until all information needed is gathered.

For me it seems to have solved the problem of shutting down/logging off.

Happy Days

What is PQV2iSvc.exe process ? Is PQV2iSvc.exe any virus or worm?

There was some problem of speed in My Computer, and in the Windows Task Manager’s Process List I found PQV2iSvc.exe. Is it any normal system process, error or is it any error exe, worm, virus or any spy ware? It looks to be part of windows process list, but I’m not sure and want to remove PQV2iSvc.exe Process. Please advise me what should I do and how do I remove this process?
