Hello,

Error 720: No PPP control protocols configured.

First you need to check your setting. Also check PPP protocols configured correctly. If you still you have same problem reinstall DUN.

Error 720 in Win XP

How to fix this error 720 in Win XP?

The modem dials, verifies username and password, and disconnects just as the "Registering computer on network" dialog appears. It fails with error 720.

I connect the modem on another computer, no problem to connect the modem on another computer. Installed another modem, same problem : ERROR 720.

Can some one clarify ?

Hi,

Error 720:PPP Control Protocol not configured may occur due to number of reasons. You can hamper this Error 720:PPP Control Protocol not configured using following solution.

Hi,

I didnt read all the postings here. I dont know the following step is already included in or not. If you didnt try this steps then follow it, it may be help you to fix Dun 720 error.

--> First try to unistall your dialer, network and DUN settings and then reinstal it.

As far as I can see, everything that was kindly suggested to you could easily have worked. Please follow the following steps that is useful to resolve this Error-720 :
- Open My Computer and then Dialup Networking
- Right click on your Internet Connection icon and select 'Properties'.
- Select 'Server Types' tab and set the type of dialup server to 'PPP: Internet, Windows NT Server, Windows 98.
- Click on 'OK' then try to connect with internet.

The Error 720 is the Windows Dial Up Networking (DUN) Error. It occurred while the user�s computer or the Network�s server not configured the Networking protocols like PPP, HDLC, SLIP. It is the point-to-point protocol that used to send packets of data over the Internet. It occurs while the user computer incorrectly setup for Internet Access.

Hi Guys,

Recently I reinstall Windows 98 in my home computer. When I am trying to connect with my ISP. It shows me Error 720 - No PPP Control Protocols are configured.
Could anyone solve this error.

1. Uninstall and Reinstall dialer, network, and DUN.

2. If NT: Try installing the Netbios interface service.

3. If NT: Try reinstalling the service pack.

4. Refer to manufacturer.

These steps worked for me when I got this message!

I also getting the error 720 Could not agree on PPP protocols.
And also want to know how do I re-install TCP/IP? or fix this problem?
