HI

I have recently updated my XP Home OS to XP Professional SP3, which resulted in the wireless connection problem.

Normally, I turn on the computer first. 15 minutes later, I turn on the router. The wireless connection is automatic, but occasionally, there is no connection.

When I do an “ipconfig /release” and “ipconfig /renew”, the error message is, “unable to contact DHCP server, request time out.”

My router has no problem with providing me an IP address. I can restart my computer to access the internet.

Mainly, it is related to my computer settings. Can someone help me?

Thanks.
